PMTB (IMBA)

We are Palisades MTB, a group of cycling enthusiasts with our sights set on establishing spectacular mountain bike trails in the Palisades Region. Mountain biking is currently not available in the vast majority of beautiful parks in Orange, Rockland and Bergen Counties. In March 2015 we formed Palisades MTB to change that. As a chapter of IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) we are working with other user groups to petition park managers for trail access. Through organization, communication and collaboration we are building a community of responsible, respectful cyclists who will make a sustainable contribution to the region’s great outdoors. Please support our efforts. We can accomplish great things … but only with your help.

JORBA

Jersey Off Road Bicycle Association (JORBA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to serving off road cyclists as a member of equal standing within the trail user community. Founded in 1999, our focus is to build and maintain sustainable multi-use trails, organize and encourage volunteerism and responsibility, and advocate and foster mountain biking as a healthy, environmentally sound, and sustainable activity.

New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition

Established in 2009 as The New Jersey Bicycle Coalition, the New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition is the only state-wide advocacy organization for bicyclists and pedestrians. Our 2010 shift in focus to represent both bicyclists and walkers recognized that we all share common challenges and opportunities. Both groups face an increasing threat from distracted drivers and many of our streets are inadequately designed for biking and walking. There is a strong need for more laws requiring motorists to give vulnerable road users (anyone using the road who is not in a motorized vehicle) a margin of safety when passing them on the road.

NJ NICA

We are the New Jersey Interscholastic Cycling League, a chapter of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) – a California-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As one of 19 leagues across the country, we organize a mountain bike racing league for middle and high school student athletes. Above all, we consider ourselves a youth development organization, whose goal it is to build strong body, strong mind and strong character in our student athletes, with an unwavering focus on inclusivity and equality in everything we do.

Mission:

Establish a fun, enduring and relevant 6 to 12th grade mountain bike program to improve the lives of New Jersey’s teens and their families.

Palisades Cyclones Middle and High School Mountain Bike Team

TBW is proud to be the primary sponsor for our local NICA middle and High School mountain bike team. The Palisades Cyclones had over 14 student-athletes in our inaugural season in 2017 and has tripled those numbers since.
